Finland
The R-Kiosks form a nationwide centrally-administered chain of kiosk/convenience store outlets, offering consumers entertainment, excitement and pleasure alongside basic everyday consumer items & services from morning until late evening. There are currently more than 703 R-Kiosks in Finland. Estonia The Rautakirja subsidiary R Kiosk Eesti AS is engaged in R-Kiosk trade in Estonia. The nationwide chain comprises 171 R-Kiosk outlets. Latvia Rautakirja’s involvement in the Latvian kiosk trade derives from its 50% holding in Narvesen Baltija SIA. The company is jointly and equally owned with the Norwegian concern Reitan Group. Narvesen Baltija operates 250 kiosks, trading under names Preses Apvieniba and Narvesen. Lithuania Rautakirja acquired the Lietuvos Spauda kiosk chain at the end of May 2005. Lietuvos Spauda it the leading kiosk chain in Lithuania, with a nationwide coverage based on a total of 319 kiosk outlets. Russia
Rautakirja, part of the Sanoma Group, is expanding its kiosk operations to Russia by establishing a joint venture with the Russian OOO Partner Service Group. Rautakirja will hold a 70% majority share in the new company, OOO R-Kiosk. OOO R-Kiosk operates 47 kiosks.
In March 2008, Rautakirja acquired 100% of a Russian kiosk company OOO KP Roznitsa, which operates 88 kiosks in the Rostov region in Southern Russia.
Romania
Rautakirja, owner of Romanian press distribution company Rautakirja Romania S.A., has decided to invest in a retail convenience store chain in Romania. In Romania was 21 R-kiosks in seven cities (mainly in Bucharest and Sibiu) at the end of the year 2009. The company will launch its first modern kiosk concept in Bucharest with the aim of later expanding its business to other major cities. The first convenience store will be opened on the 31 July 2008.
